it's the perennial half full or half empty scenario. But surely best to grind and occupy/stop the wickets at one down rather than wait till 5 down.

Northants look very well-equipped if they can stay reasonably injury-free.

Hutton and Procter are very good signings.

Sanderson seems to be developing into a David Masters-type player who could readily go on and even get 80 in a season. His average is just outstanding.
