Will we ever score a batting bonus point this season?!

The veritable riches of two batting points... thank goodness for the lower order rescue job!
We now need to capitalise on the three early wickets and maintain pressure on the incoming batsmen.

Surely Keogh and Wakely are now coming to the end of their time. The club have got to accept that they are not good enough at first class level and show absolutely no signs of improvement. I don't know what other batsmen we have on the staff/in the age groups, but they couldn't do any worse!

Anyone know the nature of Crook's injury? He limped off when bowling but then batted later.

Another disappointing batting performance second time around. Duckett's innings looked good then he's out sweeping to the spinner's first ball. Is this just a lack of judgement or an underlying lack of ability against spin?

According to the commentary, all of our top order gave their wickets away, including Wakely hooking to square leg.

Our familiar inadequacies are being exposed time and again, with matches following a regular pattern of competing well for periods, then losing control. This time we had Warwicks 118-6 in their first innings, before the predictable lower order recovery, leading to yet another series of the type of top order dismissals symptomatic of the game in general these days.

Overall, we have a team which, by and large, is capable of playing better than this, but for some reason is failing to do so at present. Certainly, the continuing poor form of the skipper, in particular, is a major problem. Presumably, Rory Kleinveldt is unfit, although he played in the 2nd XI Trophy v Lancs last week.
