No discusison to date!!
Not sure who got the better of this one:
Before the Match England ruled out 6 players (5 from Yorkshire: Root, Bairstow, Rashid, Plunkett & Willey): advantage Lancashire but Clark has side strain.
Day Before: Jarvis ruled out injured: great help to Yorkshire
After Start: Yorkshire 9/2: Lancashire ahead
50 minutes into the game: Lancashire effectively down to 10 players with Anderson's injury: Huge benefit for Yorkshire
Early recovery negated with Yorkshire at 178/6 after 74 overs. Still Advantage Lancs, but maybe normal service for Yorkshire?
Lancs tire missing Anderson, with only two fit seamers: Hodd initally then Brooks especially take the game away from Lancs. 256/7 to to 421/7 overnight.
Lancs start just as bad as Yorkshire 15/2 cf 9/2
Chanderpaul plus support turn it into an even game. But interestingly Lancashire just about always head scorewise over by over throughout their innings, so gain 1 more point.
Finally: Handscomb shows what was possible, but only when the game was dead.

Yorkshire will probably claim they were always ahead, but were they really?

Return fixture in 2 weeks. Champions Trophy in full swing. Yorkshire still -5 players, Lancashire probably also down 4-5 players (Jarvis, Anderson, Clark (injured), Buttler (England) and Livingstone (Lions). Probable replacements Mahmood & Jones, maybe also Lester for Kerrigan for better balance?

Advantage Yorkshire.

Yorkshire name the same 12 as the previously drawn @CountyChamp fixture at Emirates Old Trafford 11 days ago.

Lancashire confirm Anderson and Livingstone not available, but Clark may return and that
Kerrigan is not in the 13:

the way the squad is written, you'd expect Lamb and Mahmood to miss out.

Not the best start to a Roses match! 108-8 at tea!
Strong arguement that even asking for a toss was when it was lost, reading most reports.

After that even after hauling themselves almost back into the game Yorkshire were 249/9 less than 130 ahead, further batting woes provided a well deserved loss.
Total overs bowled: 43.4 + 82 + 69 + 20.5 meaning that without loss of overs on the first day, Yorkshire would have almost been able to claim the extra half hour to win inside two days.

Different class, even without Bairstow, Root, Rashid, Plunkett and Willey.

Anyone know anything about this? Nothing as yet on[…]
